Hi fellow intervacer and Failte ( Gaelic for  welcome) to our home.We have had 18 very interesting exchanges to date and are now ready to go again.Our home is modern, secure, comfortable and situated in an upmarket ,award winning development of 17 similar residences.This is a 5 minute walk to the main centre of our village-Blackrock. It is a Gold Medal winning sea side, picturesque  village with a population 5,000  http://www.blackrockvillage.ie/   .In 2019 we won the national Irelands Best Smallest Tidy Town competition .Our local park which is managed by volunteers won Irelands Best Rural Park competition ! The large environmentaly gold medal winning town of Dundalk pop 42,000 is 8km away www.dundalk.ie/  and boasts  recreational facilities such as  horse and greyhound racing,birdwatching ,shopping http://www.marshesshopping.com/ ,cinema,swimming,theatre,national league soccer, etc etc .Dublin 80km South and Belfast 80km North are one hour away by motorway ,rail or bus. If you fancy hill walking then 30 mins will get you the Cooley Mountains.Newgrange http://www.knowth.com/newgrange.htm one of Ireland`s most visited tourist sites is 30 mins away !
