A cosy house in Reykjavík, close to the city center

Welcome to our site.
Our house is c.a. 140 m2 on two floors. It is a really cosy house, with a backyard and also a garden in front of the house. It is situated about 4 km from the city center. There is only 2 minutes walk to a bus station with buses going both east and west (to the city center). The kitchen is on the ground-floor, the living room and a guest bathroom. Upstairs are three bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower. Bedroom 1 is with a double bed (180 cm), bedroom 2 is with one single bed and a cot for a small child, bedroom 3 is with a cauch (160 cm).
Our neighborhood is quiet and family friendly. We have a lovely park only 100 m from our house. In a radius of about 500 meters from our home, you can find a fishmonger with a large selection of fresh fish, a good meat shop, wine store, three large supermarkets, a bakery, a café and a few restaurants.
Reykjavik and it's surroundings offers lots of activities. We would recommend the museums, cafés, restaurants and swimming pools. Icelanders love swimming pools - to have a swim and then relax and have a chat in the hot tubs is a perfect way to start the day.
As you probably know, there is a lot of beautiful places with fantastic landscape all around Iceland. It is easy to take day trips from Reykjavik, by car or go on an organized trip.

Við skiptum við yndislegt fólk og margt á heimilinu þeirra var áþekkt okkar heimili. Við áttum í ágætis samskiptum fyrir skiptin og öllu var vel lýst á intervac síðunni þeirra. Þau skildu eftir mikið af upplýsingum og kortum fyrir okkur sem komu sér að góðum notum. Við tókum að okkur að passa kisurnar þeirra, tvær læður, á meðan skiptunum stóð. Önnur kisan reyndist vera hin mesta veiði kisa og færði okkur “gjafir” í þrígang, tvisvar sinnum mús og einu sinni fugl. Lærdómurinn okkar er að taka ekki að okkur pössun á gæludýrum um aftur :). Bæði dóttir þeirra og fjölskyldu vinkona höfðu samband við okkur sem var mjög notalegt. Á heildina litið vorum við mjög ánægð og búum að góðum minningum og reynslu.
