House in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
We are a family of four. Jeroen (59), Marije (50) Jilles (13) & Julie (11) We live in a nice house with a garden nearby the most famous beach of Amsterdam: 'Strandeiland'. (5 minutes walking distance). It is located at the newest suburb called IJburg. A neighborhood with interesting architecture and a lot leisure activities (sailing, surfing, boats etc).
IJburg is located in the Eastern part of Amsterdam, in 15 minutes you are in the old city center of Amsterdam, by public transport.
You have the best of two worlds: a quiet neighborhood with a beach and 15 minutes away is the famous center of Amsterdam.
We just renovated our house, so there will be in summer 2023 also a roof terrace on the south side and a roof structure where you can enjoy the sun and the view around the water (IJmeer).

We are a family of four. We like to travel, watching movies, reading, cooking, playing chess, tennis and soccer.
Our kids are 13 and 11 years old (a boy: Jilles and a girl: Julie). We are always in for something new but love to relax as well.
Jeroen is the technical director at Mediamuseum at Hilversum (www.beeldengeluid.nl ) and Marije is an educational consultant and specialized in developmental leadership at secondary schools. Jilles loves to play tennis, chess and P5. And Julie likes to play soccer, cooking and playing the guitar.
We have exchanged for more than 10 times. We have had always nice experiences! It is a very nice way to travel and meeting other people & cultures.
