House in Rheine, Germany
Hausbeschreibung:

US1009242The Taslers were very thoughtful in preparing their home for me, even leaving some arrival gifties like wine and chocolate that were much appreciated. The home was exactly as described and pictured. It was an easy bus ride or one mile walk to the train station, and I also had use of their car and e-bike!
Perhaps the best part is that their next door neighbor picked me up from the train station, and was available most mornings I was there for coffee and chat. She really helped me shape my local travels. We had so much in common, I feel I have made a new friend.
The town of Rheine has the river Ems, with local restaurants and bars along the shore, and a sweet shopping street with bridge that runs over it. Darling town square, with two big churches to visit, a local monastery converted to art gallery, very nice zoo where I took my European "grand kids". Best local visits include the town of Munster, and with a car, other small villages. Love half-timbered houses and squares? You can find them in the area.
Very enjoyable exchange and my neighbors found the family delightful. I discovered upon my return that a couple of my neighbors have also done home exchange. Wish I had known that before (I am new to my area,) as I would've arranged an introduction to them, too.
Oh! And I should mention that since I am new to the area, the Taslers scouted some great explorations for me, too!
