Lovely house and garden at Vimy Ridge

Givenchy en Gohelle is a charming French village at the foot of Vimy Ridge in the Artois hills next to Arras and Lens. We are located at the crossroads of Europe: 30 minutes to Lille, 50 minutes to Paris, 90 minutes to Bruges and Brussels, 2 hours to London; three hours to Normandy and Amsterdam. We make an excellent base from which to explore the battlefields of the First World War at our doorstep: Vimy Ridge, Arras, the Somme, Passchendaele, Ypres - Flanders Fields… and our house is full of guidebooks and maps!  You can cycle to the ridge from our house. The Louvre-Lens is just a 5 minute's drive, and the beautiful town of Arras, 10. There are lots of local fresh markets and microbreweries. After a day of exploring, you can relax in our beautiful garden. This is the family house which we have fully renovated with all amenities, modern appliances and wifi, however, we have kept the country-style charm.
We are a bilingual, bicultural, binational family: I am Canadian and my husband is French. We also have a beach apartment available for exchange.
We have exchanged several times with Intervac in the past in addition to a private exchange and we absolutely love the concept. Looking forward to our next trip to your home!
