Ranch home in quiet San Diego cul-de-sac
My home is in a residential area a few minutes drive from the freeway, making all San Diego attractions easily accessible. My home is quiet and comfortable, and includes a good-sized garden with a variety of fruit trees, including lemon, pomegranate, peach, nectarine, apple, guava and almond. In early summer the blueberry bushes are producing and tomatoes start turning ripe, as well.
While you're visiting, be sure to check out the museums at Balboa Park, the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Legoland, Seaport Village, Old Town, and the beaches at La Jolla and Torrey Pines. I'll direct you to some of my favorite Mexican, Thai, Vietnamese, and Italian restaurants, or if you'd prefer an all-American burger or steakhouse, I can tell you about that, too. If you like outdoors activities, try hiking in the desert or mountains, surfing, bicycling, or perhaps trying out something more extreme--hot air ballooning, skydiving? You name it, and San Diego has the activity for you!
For times when you want to rest, relax in my garden with a book from my personal library, enjoy one of my many DVDs, or have fun messing about in the kitchen...chocolate cookies, anyone?
Let me know if there's anything else I can do to make your stay in San Diego more comfortable! Welcome!

Neighborhood
About the neighborhood
Honestly, I'm not within walking distance of San Diego's major sites. However, you'll see the 125 freeway on the map, which will connect you to everything you'll want to see. I'll leave a book of great day-trip ideas and driving instructions for you, so you will see the best of San Diego--the beaches, the mountains, the desert, the restaurants, the museums. There's something here for everyone!

Laure was lovely and her home is in a great neighborhood.
Lars and Georges were amazing and generous hosts. They made us feel like long-lost friends rather than guests.
Delma and Eamonn were wonderful hosts and treated us like we were old friends. We felt very welcome and really enjoyed both their home and the town of Lismore. The home is spacious and comfortable and the garden is beautiful.

I generally travel with my mother, who is also a teacher--of deaf and hard of hearing students. We both are semi-fluent in several Romance languages (Spanish, Italian, and French) and love immersing ourselves in other cultures.
I'm very excited to share what I love about San Diego, and hope you feel the same about your hometown!
